Status of Chief Minister’s School of Excellence Programme in West Singhbhum District of Jharkhand

Abstract

The quality of school education plays a vital role in promoting individual development, social equity and national progress. Recognizing the need to strengthen government schools and provide students with quality educational opportunities, the Government of Jharkhand introduced the Chief Minister’s School of Excellence (CM SoE) programme as an important educational reform initiative. The programme aims to transform selected government schools into modern and high-quality institutions through improved infrastructure, technology-enabled learning, teacher development, quality education, English-medium instruction and holistic development of learners.
